Call for SMJ Co-Editor Nominations
The Strategic Management Society and Wiley are seeking nominations for up to two Co-Editor positions at the Strategic Management Journal (SMJ). This Call for Nominations reflects the end of the term of Co-Editor Constance Helfat (ending December 2020). The new Co-Editor(s) of SMJ will be appointed for a renewable three-year term and will assume duties in January 2021. The new Co-Editor(s) will work with continuing Co-Editors Rajshree Agarwal and Sendil Ethiraj.
Announcing the Decision to Go Virtual
After careful consideration, the SMS Board of Directors has voted to hold the SMS 40th Annual Conference virtually this October instead of through a traditional in-person meeting. We approached this decision very carefully, considering the health and safety of our attendees, restrictions imposed by many of our members’ governments and institutions, and the uncertainty surrounding phased reopening plans in the UK and what that would entail for an in-person conference. Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal Special Issue Open Call: Catalyzing Change and Innovation in Women's Entrepreneurship
This special issue intends to focus attention on the intersection of innovation, entrepreneurship, and gender. We aim to stimulate scholarly conversations on how women entrepreneurs enact innovation through new products, processes, business models, and organizational practices. Global Strategy Journal Special Issue Open Call: Complexity and Multinationals
In this Special Issue of the Global Strategy Journal, we seek to revisit the question of complexity and organization, with a focus on multinational corporations (MNCs). The promotion and encouragement of research and scholarship is another of SMS’ primary purposes. In support of this goal, the Society operates the Strategy Research Foundation (SRF) programs to award research grants to individuals or groups identified through a competitive application and review process.
